 RFC3484 mandates that clients _must_ prefer the IPv6 address if it exists
 (assuming they also have a global-scope IPv6 address). But it also says
 they should fall back to the Legacy IP address after trying IPv6.

 All the userspace stuff really ought to just work in all modern
 distributions, and get it right.
