 Given that the XO is to be deployed
 to children at school, I wonder if
 a clock should be available on it.
 This will not normally be necessary
 in the classroom but it may be
 useful for homework; it is possible
 that the child will not have access
 to any clock other than the one on
 the laptop, so it might be an idea
 to make one available.

 "date" can of course by typed into
 a terminal window, and xclock can
 be used although there are issues
 with visibility.  Perhaps a clock
 could be displayed on the
 activities chooser along with the
 battery indicator.

 Synchronisation could be an issue
 in areas where no Internet
 connection is available.  Perhaps
 the school server can run NTP so
 that children will at least be
 synchronised to the school clock
 even if it's not the atomic time.

 Being aware of clock time is an
 important skill that is often
 lacking in third-world countries
 and making a clock visible on the
 XO could help to fix this.
