Comment(by carrano):
First, what this bug is not:
- It's not build specific
It happened to 616, 619, 622, joyride 146 and joyride 151
- It's not related to the XO being ECO'd or not
It happened to H79 (and ECO´d unit = SHF73300040)
- It's not firmware specific
It happened to 19p0 and 17p3
- It's not machine specific
It happened to all but one of the 10 machines which I've been
investigating
This is F02 and it's running for 104 hours but this probably does not mean
anything, since on of the units' uptime reached 64 hours before showing
the symptoms.
Now what it could be:
- Related to build later than 608.
I have one machine running build 608 for 85 hours. Again this is not
statistically significant. I will downgrade another units to 608 and wait.
- Related to the amount of traffic.
It did not happen during the weekend or to two XO's (yet?) I have at a
quiet (if compared to 1cc) place.
- The XO's are in channel 1 (mesh at 1 or school server at 1).
This is just because this what happens to this machines when they are
turned on.
I'll have some machines associated to an AP and check if the bug happens.
What we can say about this consistently:
- It's related to eth0 interface.
Mesh traffic is still transmitted and msh0 interface can be configured.
On the other hand, eth0 interface (even if manually configured) won't
transmit anything.
Consistent symptoms of the bug:
- iwlist eth0 scan won't return
- iwconfig will take a long time to respond
- iwpriv msh0 fwt_time will respond normally
