 They actually aren't the same, but I suppose the difference is subtle. One
 is a small circle with an 'x', the other is a large octagon with an 'x'.
 The purpose of the 'x' on the escape icon is to map the 'x' and 'check'
 symbols on escape and enter to the icons within accept and cancel buttons
 throughout the UI.  Perhaps we can change the stop button, removing the
 'x' there instead?

 We hope to avoid the "are you sure" type of dialogs, which is partly why
 saving is implicit.  On principle, I just don't think that stopping an
 activity should be a single-key event.  That's an action you don't want to
 do accidentally.  That doesn't mean it needs to be "hard" to do, though I
 happily use command-W and command-Q, as most Mac users do, and never once
 go to the menu to do such a thing.  Would any of ctrl-esc (weird), ctrl-Q
 or ctrl-W suit?
