In TamTamMini, having adjusted volume for one instrument and octave, you
may need to adjust the volume after switching to another instrument or
octave. This appears to only be true when the machine volume is turned
 all the way up.

Giving demos, when handing off TamTamMini, instead of simply choosing an
"interesting" instrument, I was having to try one, and choose another if
the volume was too loud or soft for the environment. And suggest another
instrument if the one being used couldn't be heard.

Clarinet is an example of the high octave being louder than the low
octive. Baby grand piano an example of the two being balanced.

High octave wind chimes vs low octave didgeridoo an example of contrast
 between instruments.

Perhaps turning the volume all the way up differentially amplifies high
 frequencies?
