 mesh (no access points nearby).  I could see the other laptop on the mesh
 view, but when I started Connect my friends did not show up to invite, and
 the Connect activity launched on machine A did not show up in the mesh
 view of machine B.

 * Can you share Chat successfully?
 * Did you share Connect using the activity toolbar, or did you invite a
 friend in mesh view?
 * If you can reproduce this, please attach the presenceservice.log and
 org.laptop.Connect.log from the XO that shared the activity as well as the
 presenceservice.log from the other XO that couldn't see the shared
 activity.
