 Incidentally, the specific problem here is that containerized activities
 are prevented from seeing a filesystem by vserver's filesystem tagging.

 Vserver's filesystem tagging is active because we have not merged the
 (small) patch that provides an on/off switch for tagging on JFFS2.

 The first work-around I investigated failed, I think because the kernel is
 correctly reporting to userland that tagging is unavailable but is
 incorrectly making access control decisions with the tagging data it has.

 My investigations continue.
