Comment(by carrano):

 After more than 20 recent documented occurrences we consistently see:
 - in joyride builds, when 4470 happens, the usb will be also dead.
 - in the stable builds,  when 4470 happens, a usb stick can still be used.

 The attached spreadsheet (4470.ods) has some additional info.
