 The symptom is that USB devices stop working.

 At the moment, saying whether it is hardware or driver is completely
 premature; it could be a different manifestation of the known hardware
 problem #1752 for example; it might not, and could be a generic USB driver
 bug; it could be an unknown hardware problem.  Smells to me most likely to
 be a driver problem.

 Let us not pre-judge the issue; clearly we need to try to dup this on
 hardware that has fixes for #1752, as an example.
