 Certain activities, such as the Interview activity (which may become a tab
 in Record), are designed to create files that are then synchronized with a
 server elsewhere.  laptop owners who wish to push some of their files to
 other servers need a way to do this.

 A simple option would be to give activities a directory they can publish
 to from which a cronjob can push materials to a server.  Please describe a
 solution on the wiki.  (before security was turned on, hacks could store
 media both in the datastore and outside of it, allowing the non-datastore
 files to be synchronized.)
