 I'm experimenting many variations of this (on B4, D04 and 637).  Such as
 after the system suspends with only cursor and empty frame shown, I press
 the mesh view button on the keyboard, then press the donut view button on
 the keyboard.  In this case, the system freezes.  (Or is it just pressing
 a key that causes the lock up?)

 A naive answer would be not to start the 30 seconds count down until Sugar
 is really ready.  Is there some reasons that prevents this approach?
