 I've failed to reproduce the problem in cambridge; I *think* I saw it
 once, but it looks more likely that it was a crash in my laptop's ipw2200
 driver.  When I associated the XO with the "media lab 802.11" AP, my other
 laptop (an x40) was knocked offline.  Running top, I saw the ipw2200
 kthread consuming 100% cpu.  Reloading the kernel driver fixed it.

 After that I tried to trigger the problem again, but was unsuccessful.
