Comment:

 Please, have oggenc fail significantly *before* filling flash.  Similarly
 for the camera app itself. The system has to work harder and harder on GC
 as the free space drops.

 You should be able to make some estimate of how much space you'll need for
 the encoder to run, and stop at that point.
