Comment(by erikos):
I have been doing some more tests with the t-mobile hotspot today. I
actually managed to connect with the XO, this is 623 with our latest
xulrunner. It takes a long time until the welcome page comes up - maybe
about twice the time (2 minutes) it takes with my regular laptop running
mozilla firefox 3.0. From the welcome page you can then get over a link on
the top to the login/make account page. Once the welcome page was loaded
the 'speed' of browsing is like expected. The actual log in worked well
and I could use browse just fine. The same behavior was seen with our
trial-2 and trial-3 browser versions. The connecting using mozilla firefox
2.0 was instantly, tested on my regular laptop.
The cpu load is not high at all during the loading process. Peaks are only
seen when the actual images are loaded.
