 I agree that the timing is bad ... however Eben is right, this is not just
 a cosmetic issue.

 There are multiple problems currently:
  - The button is not insensitive, so one can still press it (other ticket)
  - If that is fixed then the icon is still white, so the only clue whether
 there are more activities would be that there is no prelight and the
 button does not react to presses.
  - The pressed state is a white icon on white background.
