Comment:

 I think we may be able to wrap this into the XO menu (which doesn't exist
 yet).  The XO character in the center of the screen represents in some
 ways, a hybrid of the child and the laptop.  This XO is the also central
 icon in both the startup and shutdown sequences, and the focus of the Home
 screen.

 Our thought is that the menu found under one's own XO provides additional
 functionality, including the ability to set "away" messages and edit user
 profile, change global preference settings, and potentially "leave",
 "power off", "shutdown" or whatever we choose to call it.  We'll be able
 to integrate this once we truly implement proper rollover palettes in the
 views.
