 This won't work, specificly sugar gets the events through X, and X
 currently throws away SW_LID events.

 Worse, I can't fix that with the current X input code, not sanely.

 Having X completely ignore the input device is an option, but just keep in
 mind that in the short term that will break things because sugar expects
 to see those keys.
