 Before freezing the DCON, I'd like to try inverting the console
 colors and maybe making the startup X background white along
 the lines of RedHat's ugly-pattern-die-die-die.patch

 Just to see what it will look like.  Freezing the display
 is maybe too drastic because you won't get to see startup
 errors and panics.

 Moving the kernel console and boot messages to tty2 is
 safer and versatile (e.g.: allows us to put an
 animation on tty1).
