 The problem is very clear - the Xv driver just isn't designed for
 rotation.  When rotation was first provided, we had discussed and agreed
 that we wouldn't support rotated video.

 There are a number of things we can do to mitigate the problem (certainly
 a crash is bad), but the first step is to stop allowing rotated video,
 either by forcing no rotation when the camera app is active, or by turning
 off the camera app when rotation is requested.  Rotated video is a
 complicated process and cycle sapping process - especially on the GX.  It
 may be more feasible on the LX, but there is still some careful
 maneuvering that is needed to ensure that memory is available and in the
 right place.
