 The battery LED is shaped like a size D cell disposable battery. The shape
 might not be recognized to mean "electrical power" by young kids in all
 countries. Neither the laptop battery nor the power connector:

 a. looks like a size D cell disposable battery

 b. is marked with that shape (for example, with a large and noticable
 icon)

 c. is anywhere near the LED

 Marking the battery, and maybe the power connector too, would probably
 help. Consider switching to a lightning bolt symbol, which might be
 slightly more universal.
