Comment:

 Ideally, we need a gstreamer based plug in.

 In the very short term, there will be an browser plug in for the Real
 Helix player, probably within a few weeks.

 The stand-alone Helix player as a Sugar activity exists, and Real is
 working on the browser plugin; that should be available this week or
 weekend.  There is a very wide selection of codecs for it, both free and
 proprietary.

 mplayer also can be installed and works.
