 It's still not fixed.

 I figured out an easy way to debug this:

  * Navigate to a map, say by entering Boston, MA into google maps.
  * Enter the URL "about:config" into the web activity.
  * Search for DPI.
  * Change the setting to 96 (from the default 134)
  * Press the back button to go back to the maps
  * you can go back and forth, changing the DPI to see the difference.

 Notice how in 96DPI mode the bottom left there is now a graphic that
 indicates map scale.

 Here are some indicators of the problem in 134 DPI mode:

  * notice that if you double click somewhere in google maps, the map will
 zoom and recenter.  In the current web activity, the "center" ends up near
 the bottom of the screen.
  * It's also possible to see that the gray border around the map
 disappears off the end of the page, whereas it should neatly surround the
 map.
