 Well, that would solve another design/safety issue but would still leave
 this
 one present. As long as the plug doesnt correctly matches the cover
 surface _any_ amount
 of force required to free/disconnect the plug (or your lock) in a
 direction not matched
 by the current coupling  will be absorved by the mainboard. Is important
 to
 realize that the force over the mainboard for a given pull over the
 cord/plug could
 even be magnified (as the cord+plug+case_surface+mainboard system builds
 up a lever) causing
 harmfull stress that would ratter be distributed over the case with this
 simple adjustment.
