 It's better if the connector will just pop loose when yanked from any
 angle. This also protects the laptop from being yanked off of a table via
 the power cord.

 In case Apple patented the use of a magnet on a power cord, I offer my
 deep-fat fryer as prior art.

 A pair of clips would do, as is common for speaker wires. This allows the
 use of any old wire without needing a special plug. Make the clips loose
 enough so that the wires can be yanked out.
