 The previous message was not right. I booted the nand flash accidently and
 thought it was working fine. When booting from usb-key I get the following
 error similar to that in ticket #1809 "Cannot find root file system!".

 I have an older disk with image 406 which boots fine (as well with this
 firmware). I tested ext3 image 465 which fails with the same message. From
 the nand flash booting image 472 works fine. I could not test image ext3
 472 since the image was too big for my 1GB usb stick.
