#1829: Control of VREF_OUT and HPF is coupled to Analog Input control
--------------------------------------------------+-------------------------
 Reporter: arjs | Owner: cjb
     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: high | Milestone: Trial-2
Component: kernel | Version:
Keywords: analog input, Vref, High pass filter | Verified: 0
--------------------------------------------------+-------------------------
When I open Alsamixer and I toggle the Analog Input, the following two
 things happen automatically :

 1) Enable Analog Input - The High Pass Filter gets switched off and the
 VREF_OUT gets switched off.
 2) Disable Analog Input - The High Pass Filter gets switched on and the
 VREF_OUT gets switched on.

Note: that these changes are reflected when one exits Alsamixer and opens
 it again.

These controls should not be coupled. For example if one wishes to do a
thing similar to what wmb at firmworks.com is doing in Ticket #42
 http://dev.laptop.org/ticket/42#comment:15
it would not be possible for one to do it because it requires Analog Input
On (Capacitor bypassed) and the VREF_OUT also on.

All the 3 settings should be independently controllable and the front end
application / activity should take care of the appropriate settings.
