 Yes, it's confirmed as the same. Actually, I've issued 'fc-cache -fv'
 after installing the fonts for the original report. One can also cross
 check this by installing a CJK font and browse a CJK page with plenty of
 text like mentioned above.

 Yes, I can understand. Although it's not so significant, one can still
 notice the slow refresh rate when showing iso8859 encoding pages with
 plenty of text. (ex. doing page up/down when viewing en.wikipedia.org)
 There seems to have some caching, but definitely not enough for CJK. The
 official Firefox tar-ball doesn't have this problem so I don't think this
 is a problem of font-config system. Is it due to Cairo? or any thing I can
 try to check?
