Comment:

 From a quick look overriding expose doesn't look too bad.
 _gtk_button_paint is a pretty small function and it's used by all the
 button like widgets. The various tool buttons has a klass->button_type
 which we can use to make them use our subclasses.

 I'm retargeting to Trial-3 because these changes are too invasive for
 Trial-2. We should try to get something like this in just after Trial-2.
