 Status update:

 * lid status reporting now works, and suspends the system.
 * xrandr works, but it the logic might be the wrong way round if you know
 what i mean

 All code is in git.

 Questions:

 * when the lid closes, do i have to do dpms off or echo 1 >
 /sys/devices/platform/dcon/sleep, or both, or neither?
 * can we assume the lid is open and the machine is in normal mode when the
 xo is powered on?
