 I think avahi handle this fine. We used to have problems in sugar if no
 network interface was present though, I thought they was fixed but it's
 possible they regressed. It would be good to check if wireless is actually
 bricked. Also it would be good to attach the logs from
 ~/.sugar/default/logs
