 Eben, I agree from a design point of view. I had forgot about 2 (not sure
 if you mentioned 3 before).

 Unfortunately, from an implementation point of view, the second and third
 point seem really complicated. Without having put a lot of thinking into
 it my feeling is that it will not happen for Gen1 :(
