 all,
 Yes this issue has been resolved in the latest firmware release that I
 posted on the Marvell website (www.marvell.com). Go to the drivers link on
 the top right. Then search for “OLPC” in the search string and leave all
 the other drop downs blank. You should find the following as one of the
 search result:

 USB 8388 OLPC Firmware for MP (Mesh Point)

 The behaviors of LED 1 and LED 2 are mentioned in the Release Notes as
 well. The amount of time the LED 2 blinks is very small - one would need
 to take at it very carefully to see it blink. We are still looking into
 how to increase the duty cycle for this. But for the purpose of this
 ticket, I think the fix has been incorporated in the firmware release.
