 Sometimes it won't be feasible for a student or teacher to use their own
 laptop for software development (for example, building kernels would be
 "challenging" on our machine).

 We need a way to make it very easy for a laptop to ssh to its server
 system so that remote development can easily be done.

 There is an interesting question of whether the laptop's file system
 should be accessible on the server when this happens (or vice versa), to
 make such development easy.
