Comment:

 Bernie suggests the pointer doesn't always jump to the bottom-right (SE)
 of the screen, but rather this depends where your finger contacts the
 touchpad.

 I.E. the predominant bug behavior is indeed: putting your finger in the
 middle of the touchpad, usually results in a jump to the bottom-right
 (SE).

 However: putting your finger on the far left side of the touchpad
 (technically that's the ~5cm wide capacitive GS/glide sensor, below the
 right-side of the space bar), may result in a jump to the botton-left (SW)
 of the screen.
