 It's difficult to determine the boot firmware version when in secure mode.
 You can type "cat /ofw/openprom/model" from the Terminal activity, but
 that doesn't work if the OS won't boot.

 It would be nice if the firmware showed the version under certain
 conditions, such as on a security failure or when the user requests
 additional information via the check button.
