Comment:

 Yes, there are problems with the trackpad.  The "four finger salute" you
 can find in the FAQ may help (by recalibrating the touchpad's
 sensitivity).

 We have a software fix for another problem in test at the moment.  If you
 are adventurous, you could help us by testing the software fix; bernie is
 responsible for that.

 The box looked opened only because the software was updated between Quanta
 and its shipment to you at Brightstar, which fulfilled your order.
