 I got a developer key installed and the new kernel installed fine.
 Unfortunately, this did not fix the touchpad/cursor issues I am
 experiencing.

 I am witnessing large horizontal jumps and sometimes "hitting a wall" like
 I mentioned above--failure to move horizontally, only vertical movements
 register even when moving left-right on the touchpad.  Lifting off and
 touching again restores horizontal movement, but nothing fixes the large
 horizontal jumps.  Even the four-finger recal fails to improve
 performance.

 I have captured and attached a syslog file according to the instructions
 above.
