Comment:

 We do not turn off sharing when Record is not active.  All we turn off is
 the camera, xv, and mouse listeners.

 Perhaps this is a tubes related problem regarding active activities?  ...
 just checked with Morgs and Daf, and they said no.

 My guess is that the tube connection was lost somehow.  Tube connections
 do not know how to reconnect.
