Comment(by wad):

 Bringing the interface down, then back up, on the school server corrects
 the problem.  I will try the new libertas driver on the schoolserver ASAP,
 to see what effect that has.

 The dmesg log has the following messages:
  NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth1: transmit timed out
  libertas: tx watch dog timeout
