 In normal operation, nothing else would justify this.

 That said, we have had in the past situations where this would have been
 useful due to bugs in the DS. Also, I think the DS needs some refactoring
 in order to be more robust that what we have today.

 That and the fact that we are beginning to mass deploy made me think this
 could be a good idea.
