 I've committed code to reset the device when we're trying to initialise
 the driver and it seems to be already running -- that allows us to update
 the firmware.

 It gets a little confused with the active antenna when it's gone into
 operational mode automatically without the driver's intervention. The
 runtime firmware seems to have different bcdDevice to the boot2 firmware,
 so it isn't recognised as the same device when we reset it. (ticket
 #5412).
