 display_progress.patch adds to the Journal the ability to display the
 progress of entries.
 report_progress.patch makes Browse report the progress of downloads
 through the Datastore.

 Note that the Datastore still needs to report progress of copies and
 checkins (#2761).

 Also note that due to #2753 and similar issues, the progress bar won't be
 updated in real time. I have a patch for this that I'm going to attach to
 that ticket.
