 If these are redundant, and V4L2 isn't implementing them, it sounds like
 something we should grumble at the gstreamer folks about.

 Could someone please figure out how to do so?

 If they *really* want to use them and have a case for them, I can ask Jon
 Corbet to implement them; he estimates 5 hours of work...
 It seems like the gstreamer folks should be aware of the consequences of
 their change...
