Comment:

 Eben, check out the battery.png attachment and see if that looks right.

 The artwork.diff shows what needs to be done on that side; you basically
 create a separate ini-style file for each icon indicating the coordinates
 where a badge can be attached. For SVG icons, these are in a 0-1000
 coordinate system, so for the battery icons I used 800,500 to get it 80%
 of the way over and halfway down. Oh, and I'm drawing the badge at 40% of
 the size of the main icon, because that seemed to match your mesh mockups.

 The sugar patch is mostly just refactoring to keep track of the
 attachpoints along with the svg handle.
