Comment:

I've attached proposals for two independent error messages. This first is
to be used when no internet connection is detected at all; the second is
to be used when a connection is detected but the specified page could not
be found. Both are lightweight, but give a short tip that points kids in
the direction of the most common causes for the errors.

In the future, we'll likely want to add something like a "more info"
button which could explain possible causes of these errors in greater
detail, and provides more information about how to correct the issues.
This could even get into details of DNS, domain registration, proxies,
firewalls etc. such as the old default page did, but should always provide
links (perhaps to wikipedia?) for each of these potentially unknown terms
so that the kids can use the error as a way to learn about the underlying
 structure.

The text used for these error messages should be localized in the .py file
for Browse. Note that in both cases, the URL field retains the actual
typed URL and not the title of the page (since, in general, the title
can't be known in either case anyway...) I'd argue in favor of placing
focus within the URL field when either of these errors occurs so that
 modifications can be made.
