 Some journal thumbnails capture the entire screen, including the toolbar
 and frame.  Since the thumbnails are already rather small, we'd really
 improve the quality of them if they didn't include these components.
 Ideally only the activity content area should be captured by default.

 Also, a number of Journal entries don't have previews at all. (Including
 things like paint, which is a prime candidate for having one.) What's our
 policy on this?  Is it really optional to have a thumbnail?  Should we
 always have a screenshot as a worst case fallback?
