 After seeing a photo of how the camera images ought to look, I tried
 Mitch's "test /camera" app on my B2 that took the crappy picture uploaded
 above.  When running the OFW test it takes much better pictures than Unix
 does, without the streaking.  The pix are still very blue-tinted, though.

 In the OFW test, it first throws up a still picture, leaves it there for
 half a second, then
 goes into video mode.  The picture looks better in the first half second;
 then it does some auto-color-correction or something and gets blue.

 I think Mitch's supposition that all the chips are probably the same, but
 there's something in how we access them that throws some of them out of
 whack, is probably true.
