 When using the TamTam subactivity Synthlab on OLPC build 385 ,an ugly
 full-screen redraw event occurs in one circumstance. When you move the
 cursour over a device connector it highlights it with a green ring. When
 you move the cursor away, it needs to de-highlight the connector. However
 this  causes a full redraw, which results in a perceived flash while all
 objects redraw.
