 Word format already changed. OfficeXML is out and available on Office
 2007. So unless the Word format in Abiword is compatible with the newer MS
 format, supporting what basically appears to become an outdated format in
 a couple of years, is to me a very bad choice.

 I understand the majority of people use MS Word as their format of choice
 (although I find it hard to consider it a choice). However this doesn't
 mean an open platform as the X0 can push for truly open standards. Doing
 the contrary sounds to me as suspicious.

 I'd like to hear what Blizzard has to say.
