 In the not unlikely case that the Microsoft Word format
 is changed during the next few years, this dependency
 will mean that the flow of information (pointedly speaking)
 from South to North will be seamless but much less so
 from North to South.

 This does not sound like a good plan and it doesn't seem
 to fit nicely into OLPC's rationales.
 (First section of http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Content mentions
 "... free sharing of knowledge.", "... no barriers ...")
